The Pit Stop Students Coordinators will deliver a nutritious Lunch each Monday and Friday to 50 selected primary school children from disadvantaged families (B40 households).
The main goal is to improve their health and nutrition in hopes that they would do better in their classes.
We need to get these children to try out more new foods as well as eat more fruits and vegetables.
About 95% of Malaysia's population do not consume vegetables as recommended by the Health Ministry. This is one of the leading factors leading to fatty liver disease and risks for heart and kidney diseases, according to Deputy Health Minister Dr Noor Azmi Ghazali based on findings of the National Health and Morbidity Survey (NHMS) 2019.
